Fields From Foal Through Pony

Complex, Dugout & Cage Basics

These short summaries help every family protect the players, the fields, and the shared ballpark experience.

Shared space

Complex Rules

  • Dogs stay outside the main complex; leashed dogs may use the outfield grass or adjacent park.
  • The complex is free of alcohol, tobacco, vaping, illegal substances, and sunflower seeds.
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and rollerblades stay outside the complex.

Team responsibility

Field & Dugout

  • Use only the field assigned to your team and enter through gates, never over fences.
  • Only water and sports drinks belong in dugouts; food, seeds, and sugary drinks stay out.
  • Teams clean their dugout and follow the league's field-care process after use.

Safety first

Batting Cages

  • Batting cages are reserved for Santa Susana Baseball teams and require coach supervision.
  • Batters wear helmets; bats are swung only inside cages; pitching machines are coach-operated.
  • Wear tennis shoes in the cages, no cleats, sandals, or Crocs, and leave the area clean.

Plan your visit

Parking, Weather & Access

A few practical details make arrival easier and help the league respond when plans change.

Parking

Use marked spaces in the lot. On neighborhood streets, follow posted laws and never block a driveway.

Weather

The Field Management Team monitors conditions during inclement weather. Watch league and coach communication before traveling.
